May I cover the expenses myself?

Depending on your financial means and the type of accident, you can cover the losses with your own money. You can receive a compensation of expenses, upon returning to Latvia. Deliver to BTA as soon as possible the indemnification form and the documents attesting the accident:

• originals of all receipts and bills
• documents substantiating compensation – medical establishment references; approval issued by the airline regarding delay, damage or loss of luggage; documents issued by the authorities, etc.

A detailed list of documents to be presented can be found in the travel insurance terms or in your policy. In case of injuries, cold and serious illness, we recommend to call the ambulance or to get in contact with our cooperation partners – reliable doctors that can provide you with high-quality medical support. You will find their telephone numbers in your policy.
