This means that if you cause damage to a third part or property thereof, all losses will be compensated by BTA – your insurance company.
As of 1 May, 2004 the validity territory of OCTA insurance contracts (policies) was expanded: now OCTA standard contract is valid not only in Latvia, but in all European Economic Zone countries, i.e. Lithuania, Estonia, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Finland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Greece, Hungary, Italy and Ireland, Iceland, Luxemburg, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Croatia, Romania (as of 1 August, 2007) and Bulgaria (as of 1 August, 2007).
