BTA in Lithuania

In February 2002, the Latvian insurance company BTA purchased 100% of shares in the Lithuanian insurance company LTB Draudimas and started business in Lithuania. In March of the same year, the company name was changed to BTA Draudimas.

BTA Draudimas works with legal entities and individuals, offering them the main insurance products: CASCO Insurance, Property Insurance, Person Insurance, MTPL Insurance, Financial Risks Insurance and other insurance types. We are one of the market leaders in Aircraft Insurance, Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance for Medical Treatment Institutions and Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance for Brokers. In 2008, we added Legal Entity Medical Insurance to our insurance product portfolio.

In 2010 the turnover of BTA Draudimas reached 38.6 million euro, earning BTA Draudimas second place in the Lithuanian non-life insurance market. We regularly improve our insurance products and come up with different innovations.

BTA Market Share in Lithuania

In 2010, BTA Lithuania’s market share continued to grow, reaching 13.1%. Our company owes the bulk to the Lithuanian truck insurance market, taking 2nd place in MTPL insurance.
